Actually our whole country is affected by the American culture.Doesn't matter if it's Sports (am. football), Religion, Cuisine (fast food), Literature, Poetry, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Cinema, or Architecture, the American culture has become a part of our lives.
In Germany the American culture is always around us. You can't spend a day without beeing influenced by American stuff. When you are hungry and you are too lazy to cook something, you can make a frozen pizza, or you go to the next McDonalds, Burger King or KFC. All of them are invented in the USA. When you listen to the charts at least one half of the Top 10 is from America. Most of the styles of music came across the pond. Even when we are talking you could hear the influence. Words like Countdown, Internet or One-Night-Stand doesn't even have an German synonym. America has a big influence on Germany especially on the youth.
I totally agree with Alex and Tini, because we are surrounded by the American culture in our daily life. It is not only present but it also influences our culture in positive and negative ways. A positive aspect is of course the variation in different categories of our culture like Tini has already mentioned. A negative aspect is the influence on the youth. Especially media like TV try to sell young people an image which they want to imitate.
I definitely think that America has a huge influence on Germany and many other countries because we are one of the most powerful nations in the world. I agree with Tini, Alex, and Florian because they pretty much said it all.
