ENVIRONMENT

There are a lot of movements to do something for the protection of the environment, which has become a global issue. Make a list of the ones you think are worthy of your support and discuss why you think so.

  1. In my opinion international organization like Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace e.V. or the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) are worthy of everybodys support. Also local ecology groups like the Naturschutzbund Deutschland (NABU) have to be supported to conserve the environment. A single country can´t fight against environmental pollution when other countries at the same time don´t care of the environment. That would be useless so international organizatioons are necessary to protect and improve the environment

  2. I agree with Florian but for me it's even more important to support renewable energies like solar, hydro or wind energy. A lot of countries use atomic power plants as their main source for energy although they are very dangerous and harmful for the nature. Another importent aspect is the research for motor fuel which doesn't produce dangerous emissions as carbon dioxide.

  3. I think Flo is quite right, if only on is fighthing for a better world it won't have any effect. So as long as industrial countries like China or the USA prefer making more money then protecting the environment our trials are useless. But I can't agree with Tini. The hype on renewable energy is very high nowadays. But the truth is, that the energy that we get from wind or sun wont' be enough for the country. Atomic power is normally not as bad as it's common. Yes there is the atomic waste, but at the moment therer is no other possibilty of getting so much electricity with that low emissions of carbon dioxide. We have to find a new Alternative, but that will a long time!

  4. The facts that renewable energy won´t be enough for every country is right. Anyway the hype on this is a very good thing because the results in research always advance

  5. I agree with Florian and Tini because I’m all about going green, and if there's anything that can be done to help the environment then I’m all for it. For example: Recycling renewable resources, and solar energy. I agree with Alex’s statement that "the energy that we get from wind or sun wont' be enough for the country“, but I feel like any small thing that can be done helps. I don’t agree with Alex’s statement about the U.S. only caring about making money rather than protecting the environment because even though it may seem this way to others, the United States has a lot of environmental companies, people, and supporter plus volunteers that help with making our environment better. A lot of businesses in the U.S. are green or there’re going green, for example: Johnson and Johnson, Wells Fargo, Dell, Honda, etc. Just to name a few.

  7. The only one I know of is about recycling and I totally agree with it.
Now that we don’t do anything to help this world get better we should recycle because that’s really easy and it doesn’t take a lot of time to do. Is just that we are really lazy but if this world gets worst we are going to regret it. If we don’t take care of this world who will? And think of the children that we are going to bring to this world.

Geeze i hate being the last one, you guys always beat me to everything. So i agree with all of you. I agree that we need to find more alternatives to save our enviroment. which means that we need to be more enviroment aware, and spend more time with researching ways to be more enviromentaly friendly.
