  1. Nowadays I think we don't have the chance to buy only local products because the process of globalization is already too advanced and we are used to products which are brought from other countries(bananas, rice, ....). However, in my opinion we should try to buy local products as well as global products. Otherwise the economy in our own countries will be very weak.

  2. I think there is still the possiblity of buying locally but that means that you have to renounce many things and that you have to pay higher prices. For example in Berlin you could buy clothes which are produced in Berlin by young fashion designers or you could buy the apples from the farmer next door which the FDÄ (Front Deutscher Äpfel – A German Organisation fighting for local fruit production) is fighting for. But I think today nearly everybody is to egoistic to pay higher prices for local products, so that local companies could survive, as long as there is the possibility of keeping a bigger part of their money by buying global products for eaxample from China . Of course we schouldn't forget that without our purchases of cheap Chinese clothes they wouldn't have the social status like they have these days. We always support one economy but with globalisation its normally not the own.

  3. I agree with Tini that it is very hard to buy only local products because every time when we go shopping in supermarkets there is such a big assortment of importet fruits und food that the most people buy cheaper products than local products with higher prices, like Alex said, too.I think we can advance local companies and their products but that means not that we should stop buying foreign products, because Germany also exports many goods which are buyed und selled from in many different countries

  4. I agree with Tini's statement on how our countries "don’t have a chance to buy only local products because the process of globalization is already too advanced". The reason I think this is true is because I think that it would be more expensive to produce some of the goods that we import into our country. For example: we also get bananas imported; even though we could produce them ourselves it is cheaper to buy them from other countries for better quality.

  5. I agree with all of you!
And I think that we are so use to buying products from other countries because they are better or less expensive, that now we don’t want to buy from our own country. I also think that not buying from our own country effects our
Economy and we should worry first of our economy.

  7. Mayra you read my mind! i still agree with you all but i feel Myras sums my thoughts up. Also to add on i feel like our goverment has strict regulations on local products(such as farmers producing only wheat).
